It’s the smallest, most unassuming yet strongest surface mounted wood post anchor you will find. Stand alone 42″ 4×4 posts are rated to a minimum of 500 lbs on concrete and the 6×6 anchor performs even higher.
What is it for?
Use it for railings, fence posts, privacy panels, pool fencing, even free-standing shade sail posts (6×6). If you demand high performance and aesthetic standards, you’ll love this because now you can do things that before you could only dream of.
Where you can use it.
Use on concrete, stone or wood surfaces with our wood install kit. Install 4×4/ 6×6 structural post anchor with a 1-¼”x18″ ship auger and a ½” twist bit. And install 8×8 structural post anchor with 1-½” x 18″ Ship Auger and a ½” twist bit. Grab one of our high-performance Ship Augers and our Bad Boy Post Wrench for the installation and you are off and running.

| Composite Decking | Pre-drill screw holes before driving screws into composite decking. Composite and synthetic boards are very dense and if holes are not pre-drilled you may snap off the head of the screw. Also pre-drilling holes on wood or composite deck boards anytime a screw will be driven very close to the edge of a board. This will prevent the board from splitting. |

Great product. Needed to build a jig to drill the hole in the bottom straight and thought it was going to be impossible to get the holes drilled straight but with a little time and patience it worked. Thought screwing the 10 ft tall post onto the plate was going to be impossible but it went right on.

Very solid anchor. It took me about 4 tries to get the post plumb & sq to the fence it was used in. If I had been less old carpenter stubborn & followed the installation instructions, it would have gone much faster
